NASCAR NEW SEASON OLD CAR

NASCAR NEW SEASON OLD CAR

The 2010 NASCAR season will bring new changes for Sprint Cup teams just when everyone taught they were making gains on HendrickMotorSports and Jimmie Johnson NASCAR goes and changes a major part of the race car by getting rid of the wing on the back of the car and putting a spoiler on the car. When this new car was introduced a few years ago the wing was said to be a safety device for the drivers as it would help keep the car on the ground during a wreck. This has done very well in serving its purpose in keeping drivers safe throughout its use in NASCAR. Now a new age in NASCAR with the car of today with the spoiler of tomorrow all the data teams have had over the past five years means nothing now as everyone is given a fresh start for the 2010 season. These changes could mean trouble for defending champion Jimmie Johnson as how will he fair this year with a new car. I guess will find out this upcoming season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Worst Season NASCAR

Dale Earnhardt Jr Worst Season in NASCAR

Dale Earnhardt Jr is NASCAR nobody has the fan base or carries the sport as much as he does. He is the son of the sport’s most beloved driver. It is funny to see how his career has gone so far were he does have over 100 top 5 and top 10 finishes but only 18 career wins and no championships. In 2008 he made the move from his father’s company DEI inc. to Hendrick MotorSports were in his first season with the new team he won at Michigan Motor speedway an snapped a 100 plus race winless streak. Although that brought the sort success that would be all the success he would see in 2008. Although the rest of his season was not anything special the team had moments of brilliance but the team often found themselves not being able keep up with changing track conditions and the handling of the race car, because of this Dale Jr often found himself running toward the back of pack with disappointing finishes. His 2009 season was not any better where he did not have any wins and not many top 5 and top10 finishes. Some of the same problems that he had last year fallowed right into 2009 many people around Hendrick Motorsports are said that they don’t like Dale Jr because he brought some of his crew member with him when he came to Hendrick instead of using one of their crew members. This is probably why his first two years at Hendrick has been so unsuccessful because no one is willing to help him because they are not on the same page as a team and company. Or could this be something else were Dale Jr may not be as good as a driver as everyone thinks he is may he’s as joke living off the family name. May be instead of the most popular driver award it should be the biggest joke of the year award. Man his father would be a shamed

Danica Patrick in NASCAR the Next Big Thing or a Big Fake

Danica is known for her racing ability in the formula one racing series and her outspoken personality as one of the sport’s top female drivers. Her career has not been great but the numbers aren’t bad ether. I mean she has a win and some top 5 and top 10 finish but she has never raced with the boys of NASCAR and she was quoted in saying “The last time I drove a stock car was almost ten years ago and even then the car felt like it didn’t want to turn. Since she will be starting out in Natioinwide she has often said the NASCAR season is to long as the formula one series is only 19 races long and NASCAR Nationwide series is 35 races.

NASCAR Championship Week 2009

NASCAR Championship Week

It’s been a long season 36 races from coast to coast thousands of miles, and now it’s time to crown a champion. Who came away the Sprint Cup champion? Was it Jimmie Johnson seeking an unprecedented fourth title in a row and do something that’s never been done in the sport's 60 year history, or did Mark Martin finally get that brass ring of a title that he has been wanting for some many years. Or did Jeff Gordon show why he is the greatest of all time and win his fifth Sprint Cup title.

Well history was indeed made by Jimmie Johnson and his 48 Lowes team as he became the first driver to win four titles in a row. Championship week also honors things the drivers have done off the track for their local community or favorite charities. Also promoting the sport there sponsor’s and the event itself and let’s not forget about those end of the year paychecks talk about living high on the hog.

The night was filled with thank you speech’s a real bore. What now for Jimmie Johnson? Has he used up his good years? Is he headed for a big downfall that will start next season in Daytona or will he continue has charge into NASCAR history? What do you think?

Jeff Grdon Greatest NASCAR Driver of All Time

Jeff Gordon the Greatest NASCAR Driver of All Time

Jeff Gordon has been at the top of NASCAR for a very long time and shows no signs of slowing down. He has 82 career wins in 581 career starts, 68 poles and 263 top 5 finishes and 360 top 10 finishes in his 18year career also 4 Sprint Cup championships. Gordon came into the sport at a time when there where nothing but future Hall of Fame drivers like Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip and many more greats of their time. Gordon was making a name for himself at only age 22 when he won his first Sprint Cup Championship. Since then he has gone on to win many more races and championship by paving the way for NASCAR’S new generation of drivers like Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and many others that have started to make a name and career for themselves in NASCAR because Gordon did it at a time when the sport had its best drivers of all time and most people didn’t think that was possible for a kid to have so much success at such a young age he changed the sport and set the standard for many years to come.

NASCAR Video Games 2010

NASCAR Video Games 2010

Nasser has had a great partnership with EA Sports over the years with its realistic racing video games. The NASCAR Thunder series is the number one selling racing franchise video game in the world. Although these games are great NASCAR Thunder 2009 really lacks the complete roster of drivers especially in the truck and nationwide series. Also it doesn’t have the right race teams like in the nationwide series for Dale Earnhardt number 5 National Guard team companies name is JG motorsports. This is a really bad mistake to have with the sports most popular driver race team. EA has also announced their will be no 2010 game as their contract is up at the end of the year. The WII will have NASCAR Kart racing and it would not be called NASCAR thunder 20xx because EA owns the title. If there is any future NASCAR games to come without EA it would be a different game play experience because of what EA has done with its past games of NASCAR unrivaled.
